Hey friends, hopping on the good old blog to talk a little about what’s holding us back. It’s easy to get held up on reasons why we can’t do something, isn’t it? There’s always going to be a good reason why not, and I wanted to talk about the things that I’m personally working on letting go of in order to get to where I want to be.
COMPARISON – I’m killing that comparison monster living inside of me and realizing others success does not diminish my own. We’re all on our own creative journeys, and the beauty in that is there is no right or wrong way to do it.
THE PAST – I’m learning to let go of the weight of the past. Past comments, past experiences, past pain that has held me back for too damn long. Bye Felicia
COMFORT – I’m pushing myself out of my own comfort zone. This one’s hard. It’s scary to try new things or take that leap when you don’t know if you’ll fail. But being uncomfortable is an inevitable part of growth, and I’ll choose that over stagnancy any day.
EXCUSES – There’s always going to be a reason not to do that thing. There’s always going to be obstacles. It’s up to me to decide if I’m going to use that as my excuse, or my reason to try harder. I’m going with the latter.
I’m writing this to hold myself accountable, and also because someone out there just might need this Monday Motivation. Keep working on those dreams babes. You know I’ll be cheering you on.
