We celebrated the twins FOURTH birthday last month, and wow it’s just crazy to me how fast time has flown. I swear just yesterday I was holding my little three pound miracle babes in the NICU and now they’re these grown up four year olds with so much personality and so much to say. Lately I’ve felt a connection and love for these boys that goes beyond the mother-child relationship. As they’re growing and maturing they’re becoming two of my very best friends. I learn so much from them, and find myself always looking forward to our nexts conversations. (Everything from silly knock-knock jokes to deep talks about the universe). I admire their pure love and curiosity for life, and am just so thankful for the light these little humans carry. They truly are my greatest blessings.

Porter Nicholas • our sweet, gentle boy. You have so much love in that little heart of yours! I’m amazed at how quickly you can form an emotional attachment to anything from a stuffed animal to a rock on the sidewalk. You hate seeing others upset, cry whenever your brother gets in trouble (usually more than he does 😂), and are a mama’s boy through and through. You love building things, drawing “machines”, playing babies, making up your own jokes, and doing whatever Oliver’s doing. You have a hard time with big changes or trying new things but you’re incredibly smart, and we are SO proud of how far you’ve come this past year. You are so so loved Porter Bug. I can’t wait to see what year four around the sun has in store for you.
Oliver Curtis • our little firecracker. Your spunky personality always keeps us on our toes and I adore the wild energy you bring to our home. You’re feisty and defiant at times, always needing to test the limits, but man would life be boring without you. (You’re also 100% my child and have given me a new appreciation for my own mom) 😂 You love music, super heroes, riding your bike, jumping off of things, making up songs, and bossing around your brother. You hate being told “no” but love saying it to us, and your stubbornness is going to be one of your biggest strengths and weaknesses through life. We sure love you Ollie Pop. According to you some huge muscles should be coming in when you turn four, so everyone be on the lookout for those.
