Braxton and I decided to make Valentines weekend an extra long one and we packed up our trusty Honda Element with all the essentials, dropped the twins off with grandparents, and headed South for a five day road trip. If you know me at all you know this is exactly the type of vacation I live for. Exploring the outdoors, taking in scenic landscapes, and spending tons of quality time with the people I love. (In this case, the person I love MOST).
What made this trip even better was that Braxton planned it all out himself. Usually I’m the one who organizes our trips, but he had the idea to do a loop and hit all five national parks in Utah and obviously it didn’t take much convincing to get me on board.
We had SO much fun listening to music, talking, and just spending some good one on one time together. We hiked a lot, took a billion pictures, and climbed some really big rocks, and I never wanted our long weekend to end.
Last year when we went to Yellowstone we bought a National Parks pass, and if you’re planning to visit more than a few in a year it’s totally wroth it.
Here’s what we hit:
-Arches National Park
-Bryce Canyon National Park
-Capitol Reef National Park
-Canyonlands National Park
-Zions National Park
We took the back seats out of our car (in the Element they come out super easy!), and put a full size air mattress back there. We piled it up with pillows and blankets, I hung some string lights, and we had our own little cozy sleep space! Camping is one of my absolute favorite things so this was just the icing on the cake, and my wanderlust little heart was so so happy. Take a peek at some of the pictures we got, and remember some landscapes will be available in the shop as prints soon!
