Kristen and Conner’s beautiful lakeside wedding in Michigan was everything I could have dreamed of and more. I’ve known Kristen since 6th grade, and when she asked me to be the one to photograph hers and Conner’s wedding day I was over the moon excited for it.
I’ve had the privilege of shooting with these babes a couple times now, and every time we get together for pictures it’s just so much fun. So naturally their wedding day was an absolute dream to document. I flew out to Grand Rapids from Utah for this incredible weekend and it was so much fun to be a part of.
I loved all the details that Kristen thought of, and everything turned out absolutely gorgeous. We started by meeting Kristen and her bridesmaids in a hotel in Kalamazoo for some getting ready pictures along with some detail shots, and the energy in the room when I walked in was ecstatic. Everyone was so excited, and I could feel how much love they all had for Kristen and Conner.
We finished up the detail shots and headed to the Country Club where their beautiful ceremony and reception would be taking place. They had a touching “first look” moment, complete with personal letters written for each other, and seeing Conner get teary eyed made me get emotional as well. The whole thing was just so sweet and I loved witnessing something so tender and special.
After bridal party photos on the dock we got ready for their ceremony right on the lake, and the whole thing was absolutely stunning. Once again, Conner got emotional as he saw his bride walking towards him and everyone in the audience mirrored those feelings. It was a gorgeous ceremony, followed by a grand party inside and I loved getting to photograph it all for Kristen and Conner.
