When I was in St. Louis several weeks back shooting a wedding, I had the opportunity to take McCall and Colton’s photos as well and it was such a blast. McCall is my cousin and one of my oldest friends, but because of the obvious distance we haven’t been able to see each other very much over the past few years. It was so great to spend some time with her and her husband while I was in town, and I loved getting to do this mini session with them to celebrate their pregnancy!
McCall and Colton are absolutely perfect for each other in every way and it’s so fun to watch the two of them together. I never would have guessed McCall would marry a country boy and end up owning chickens, horses, and basically a full on farm.. but now that that’s her life I honestly can’t imagine it any other way. It just fits. Just like the two of them. 🙂
When I was at their house I saw this old blue truck sitting in their yard and McCall told me that it was Colton’s. She said he had had it since he was a teenager and put a lot of work into it fixing it up and getting it to run right. She said it’s what he drove for most of his high school years, and it was like his baby. I was obsessed with the color and vintage feel, and knew immediately I wanted to use it for some photos with them. We quickly pulled together a little shoot and drove out to this field for some cute maternity & couple pictures at golden hour. Check out the results!
