My girl Lexxi Smith planned her first ever styled shoot and you better believe I was there like a mama bear feeling proud as heck of her. They grow up so fast! 😉 Lexxi organized this entire thing and it came together perfectly. Maddison and Eric modeled for us as the bride and groom and they were so cute and fun to work with. They’ve been married for a few years now, and their love was so evident throughout the shoot.
The golden light peeked over the mountain tops perfectly, creating a romantic fairytale-esque feel to the evening. Erick asked if he could bring his guitar along (to which we replied UM DUHHH), and he serenaded Maddison throughout the photo shoot. I loved watching the two of them as they sat on a rock with Erick plucking away on the guitar strings and Madi lovingly looking into his eyes like they were the only two people in the world. Meanwhile, us photographers were snapping away on our camera’s like a bunch of crazy people because we didn’t want to miss a moment of the magic.
Madi wore a dress by Janay Marie Designs and it fit the feel of the photoshoot perfectly. I absolutely loved the lace detail on the sleeves, and the boho summery feel of it. There was an incredible table set up / picnic for two designed by the ever so talented Wildflower Weddings and Events that took my breathe away. And we can’t forget about the incredible florals by Conner and Ginger! Everything about this night was pure bliss, and I’m so thankful that Lexxi asked me to be a part of it. Photographing love in the mountains is one of my favorite things, and when you throw a styled shoot into the mix I don’t think it’s possible to get much better.
