Today marks a very important day in history, in fact I am declaring today a holiday. I counted it all out and exactly one year ago today Lexxi Smith and I became friends. And the rest is history.
Can I just talk about how amazing this cute girl right here is?! ^
Lexxi is one of the funniest, kindest, and most sincere friends I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. A little over a year ago Lex made the decision to jump into the world of photography and for some odd reason she decided to message me on Facebook for some advice. I told her she could come shadow me on a couple of my shoots and from the first time we met in person we instantly hit it off. It was like we’d been friends forever. Not even a week later we were having play dates with our kids, texting each other constantly about anything and everything, and having GIF wars on Facebook. Within a matter of a few weeks she became the best friend I never knew I needed.
Fast foward to now and our friendship is next level ish. This babe is killing it so hard at the photography thing (she went from no clients to being booked literally every single day this month), and is an incredible mother and wife. I honestly don’t know how I’d survive without her by my side.
I’ve never met anyone who is so similar to me in personality. True story, when we first met and Lex came over to my house her son was dressed in the same clothes that I had for the twins and I was wearing a shirt that she had the same one of. As we hung out and she was looking around my house she kept pointing out pillows and decorations that she had the exact same ones of. Basically we have the exact same style and might actually be the same person split into two bodies. Case and point, the sweater Lexxi is wearing in these pictures is the exact same as one I have in my closet. We bought them at the same store only days apart without realizing it.
It’s almost insane how in sync we are, and it makes for a mind reading – inside joke sharing – never ending laughter type of friendship.
I say she’s the Yin to my Yang, but really she just completes me no matter what cute little phrase you want to use to say it.
HAPPY ONE YEAR FRIENDAVERSARY LEXXI! Thanks for watching trashy reality shows, going on late night dirty dr. pepper runs, and jamming to old school rap with me. Life’s so much better with you in it.
And shoutout to our husbands for putting up with our insanity. 😉
