Jessica emailed a while back asking if I would take some fall pictures for her and her cute little family and I was beyond excited to say yes. This girl is a fellow photographer (go check out her website here) and on top of that she is just the sweetest human ever. Jess is someone who just always makes you feel loved and valued when you talk to her, and I’m just so thankful to know her.
Her little boy Boston is a preemie like my own boys, and we immediately bonded over being NICU mamas. Something about talking to other women who have experienced that trial as well is just comforting in a way. Us preemie moms have to stick together, and I’m so proud of how big and healthy Boston is for being born so early! Boston had so much energy during our session and definitely did not want to sit still for long. I’m not sure if it was because it was chilly so he was trying to stay warm by moving so much or if he’s just tired of always being put in front of a camera 😉 but that kid was ready to take off from the very beginning! Instead of forcing him to sit still against his will we let him take the lead and followed him around as he explored the beautiful Tony’s Grove and tried to put every rock he came across in his mouth. This session consisted of lots of tickle fights, hugs, and running around and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
It’s always an honor when another photographer asks me to take their photos, and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to take these for the Ajeman clan. Check out how cute they turned out!
